A Very Fun Fishing Day with Brent

It is December, right in the middle of winter of the Christmas season. Even in this very cold weather, we had gone to a fun Bass fishing trip. It is cold, but if we catch any our mind and body will get hot!!! I mean HOT!! Today I used Skeet Reese’s new design lure, the “Smasher”. I caught a huge 7lb Striper, but due to my large body you can’t really tell how big it really is… This fish fought very strongly, and as shown in my right hand is my 3 piece rod which was designed specifically for traveling, but it got broken into even smaller pieces… And not only that, as shown in the picture, the hook on the “Smasher” had gotten stretched out a lot. From my explanation I hope it is easier to understand how big the fish really was. As usual, Brent was doing very well and kept fishing Bass in good condition. Next week I am going to Sand Diego to do some Salt water fishing!!

Tackle Shops

This is the Daily Flash Minnow report from Japan! Special edition!

After coming back from my business trip to Japan, I have written a few fishing reports regarding my fishing experiences, tournaments, and new product information – all divided up into 8 reports. And may I ask; how was it? To be able to write a more constructive, understanding, and deep report I want to continue to study more on the article contents.

Well, in this special edition I would like to talk a little bit about the fishing tackle shops I visited the Kantou region. The tackle shops I want to introduce are all places where our managing director and I had actually gone for business. The other tackle shops we weren’t able to come around, we would humbly like to visit next time.

Skeet’s Beat – SRI #15 12-12-2010
I just got back from a fishing trip to Mexico with some of the folks from Wright & McGill Co. But, we didn’t go bass fishing.
One of my favorite offseason activities is to go saltwater fishing, and my favorite is to go after big tuna.

The New LVR D30RT has Arrived!!

From the Lucky Craft LVR Series, a 2oz lipless Crankbait was created!! This fantastic lure called the “LVR D30” can be used for Bass, Pike and even Tuna fishing. The best part of it is its castability and falling speed. I also wanted to mention that when you let this lure fall, it is design to fall in a wave-like motion which is called a “Shimmy Fall”. In the summer, long cast and let fall and during the winter, making a slight faster fall in a deep area are the best way to aim for bites!!

SHINGO’s Lure Development Documentation

This is the Daily Flash Minnow in Japan! This time it is a report about our pro angler SHINGO.

This is finally my last report from Japan. It was such a long trip; I brought back so much of my Japanese roots with me!

Anyhow, I had gone to Yokohama and Ibaragi, then lastly to our main company office located in Toyama prefecture! I had met with Mr. SHINGO to talk about his new product development for the next year to come. I’ve been waiting for this opportunity to listen to his theories about Bass fishing!!

We had gone lure testing at the pond and at a secret base in Toyama Co. SHINGO’s new lure is scheduled to be released sometime next year and to be honest; this lure just might be ahead of its time! It catches very well. I can’t talk about it too much, but please be waiting!

To see how the testing at the pond went, it will be available on DVD in the December issue of “Enjoy Network” so please take a look!

To become our network member, please go to the link below! You will also receive a “NW11”!!

This picture was taken on my final day in Japan when I had gone Squid fishing with Mr. SHINGO (due to the stormy weather, we caught nothing…).

See you soon!!
Next time will be my regular report from the USA.

The “Pearl Threadfin Shad” & “Sexy Chartreuse Perch” has Arrived!!

Since these “Pearl Threadfin Shad” and “Sexy Chartreuse Perch” was released, it’s been having nothing but great responses and has finally arrived in stock!! Here in America, the Shad color is widely inhabited in the Southern area. And also the Blue Gill color in Chartreuse is very effective in muddy water. They are both definitely traditional American colors!! With the use of painting skills from Japan, the Lucky Craft factory made if possible to complete it in the greatest finish possible!!

Skeet’s Beat – SRI #14 12-6-2010
It’s been a lot of years since I sat in a classroom, but I went back to school last week.
No, I wasn’t taking any classes; I was given an opportunity to speak to the kindergarten through third grade classes at my daughter Lea’s school.

TBC Classic!!!

This is the Daily Flash Minnow report from Tone River (Tonegawa), Japan!

I had visited the Tone River with Mr. Mitsuo to accomplish some lure testing and filming of the tournament scenes. This is the place where tournaments are held several times a year. And when you become a member of the “TBC Tonegawa Bass Club”, anyone can easily participate in tournaments. Coincidently when I was there, it was right on time for the “2010 TBC Classic” – a great opportunity to do some filming. The top 30 anglers were only allowed to participate in this particular TBC tournament so a very exciting competition was expected. Mr. Mitsuo was also qualified to participate in this tournament, but due to his primary profession, unfortunately he was not able to.

However, he had finished early and was able to participate in this event as a tournament supporter – as an MC. It showed how all the local anglers came together to support this tournament. For more details of the tournament, please take a look at the next “December Enjoy Network” DVD.

As for the result, out of a tough condition Mr. Oishi caught 3! It did not quite make the limit make, but he did receive a “Big Fish” award and had won the tournament!!  Mr. Oishi had said that since the day before, water temperature had decreased and became a tough condition for hard baits, so soft baits led him to victory. He also shared with us that he kept fishing only at this one spot called “Taigan (Opposite Shore)” all day long.

After the award ceremony, for the “AOY” presentation of this year’s overall champion, our Tonegawa master, Mr. Mitsuo had gotten 4thplace! He ended this year with a wonderful result at the TBC Classic. “Mr. Mitsuo, I will be wishing you the best!!”

Skeet’s Beat – SRI #13 11-29-2010
Thanksgiving was great. We went camping at Dillon Beach on California ‘s northern coast for the holiday with my brother Jim and his family. We had a great time; I just didn’t know that Dillon Beach was such a popular area for camping on the holiday.

FLW Events

Anthony Gagliardi Blog

It’s been nice to have some time around the house for the past few weeks hanging out with the family and spending some time with the kids. I haven’t been on the water since the PAA event out on Lake Conrow Texas, but its almost that time to start getting the tackle ready for the new year.

This year I will be taking my Lucky Craft arsenal around most of the country fishing the FLW Majors and the FLW Opens. That’s ten events which is a lot of events in a short period of time with makes preparation that much more important. I just won’t have a lot of time between events to get everything dialed in the way I like it. If I do find some spare time during the season I may pick up an event here or there, I really haven’t gotten into the planning stages yet. No matter what, I do know all the FLW events will be on the calendar.

Speaking of Lake Conrow and the PAA event, it’s really a great event and the format is unique which makes it a lot of fun. I am not happy with the results but, overall the trip was great. I brought the family along as a mini-vacation and we all had a good time, I just wish I could have got some big fish to bite.
