Skeet: Getting Caught Up
It’s been a little while since we did an update. Between Thanksgiving with the family and travel, I was running crazy. Let’s start with an update from the Hurricane Sandy Relief auction on my website. First of all, thank you to sponsors and friends who contributed goods to the cause… TO: Major League Fishing, Lake Istokpoga, Florida.
I had a compete made for TV show tournament (Major League Fishing) at Lake Istokpoga, Florida last week. I just can’t tell you how I ended up, but I enjoyed great competition. Not just against 24 of best bass anglers but also I had a deal with strong wind from hurricane Sandy. Skeet: By Hook or By Crook
Well, I told you last week that my mom was going in for heart surgery on Tuesday and I’m happy to say that everything went well… Skeet: A Long Week Ahead
It will be a busy and hectic week this week. It started on Friday last week when I made a quick trip to the Toyota Texas Bass Classic at Lake Conroe to make an appearance for Berkley on their seminar tank. I flew in Friday, was there for my scheduled four hours on Saturday morning and was home by Saturday night. Skeet: Back from All Star Week
Well, All Star week is behind us, and I can’t remember the last time I had to work that hard for three bass over two days of fishing. We had heard that Shelbyville was going to be tough, but the word tough was an understatement. TO: FLW Tour Open – Wheeler Lake
I ended up in 45th place in the FLW Tour Open at Lake Wheeler, AL. this week. It was a tough week for me. Now, I’m driving to Toyota Texas Bass Classic at Lake Conroe, Texas. This lake is one of my favorites and I’m looking for great time next week. Skeet: All Star Week
Well, the Elite Series is behind us and I’m up here in Illinois for the 2012 Toyota Trucks All Star Week. Let me start by saying thank you to all of the fans who voted me in to this week. I was really close to making up enough ground in the points to make it myself, but there is something awe inspiring and humbling about having fishing fans vote me in. Joe: Alaskan SalmonI don’t think there is a fisherman alive that has not dreamed of wading the pristine rivers of Alaska for Salmon. I had always heard of the insane August salmon runs where the Pink, Sockey, Chum and Silver Salmon fight their way in droves, from the ocean to the streams they were born to spawn. Well, the 2012 Bassmaster Elite Series season is behind us and I have to say that I’m actually quite pleased with the way things turned out. For a while there in the middle, I wasn’t sure how it was going to go, but I was able to turn it around. TO: B.A.S.S. Elite Series – Oneida Lake, NY
Thanks to everyone’s nice comments. I ended up 4th place at Oneida lake and 24th on AOY points. what a great way to end 2012 regular B.A.S.S. Elite season. It was a tough and exciting week and I’m glad it’s over. I’m looking forward to 2013 Classic at Grand lake, Ok. next year February. |
