Soon after the new year, we put a lot of effort into creating this new Lucky Craft booth display for the exhibition. Customers are visiting in a very good pace. I am glad to say we are definitely on a good start this year!

Happy New Year everyone! Immediately after the new years, I shut myself in the office for some lure development. My goal this year is to create something that would absolutely precisely capture the summer schooling fish. While our US pro staffs are entering the Classics and competing in the level of winning AOY awards, I wish to win at the next level. We will compete hard again this year!

I am having a meeting with pro angler Omori Takahiro regarding lure colors for next season. We had a huge debate about having the orange dots or not makes a difference on your mood of fishing. However, the most important thing is that you throw in the most appropriate lure at the right time… and that led on to deeper subjects and now we’ve decided to go to the electronics store tomorrow.

Skeet is currently in Argentina fishing some Golden Dorado. Every year he selects a fishing theme on his off-seasons. He goes Tuna, Marlin fishing and even Peacock Bass fishing to Brazil. Next year he is scheduled to go to Papua New Guinea & he enjoys many types of fishing all over the world. This may be a gift to himself from the tough fishing tour he competes in throughout the year. Anyhow, isn’t this fish amazing!? The size of just the body of the SKT Magnum is around 10cm~12cm big and it looks normal with this fish!

Today is another day of Bass fishing. Mr. Sasaki who won the H-1 GPX competition this year is here in America now. Today is a little slow so I am Drop Shot fishing. I can’t wait to go shallow fishing…

Here is what’s going on with TO lately. He arrived to California today and for a whole week, he is planning on getting ready for his next competition. There will be a lot of lure development meetings as well.

Unfortunately my fun fishing camp with Skeet came to an end. However, we did find out an exciting discovery! The Gunfish 135 & Flash Pointer 115 became one of Skeet’s powerful lures! Unlike the usual fishes in California Delta there were fairly small Bass, but we did catch a lot of them! Also, a new secret item was completed here… This item will be presented very soon so please stay tuned!!
