DFM: Lake Perris
This week I went Bass fishing at Lake Perris, CA with Kyle from Anglers Marine. We started fishing at 6 in the morning. Amazingly, Kyle’s very first catch with the RTO 1.5 (Color: Pearl Threadfin Shad) was a 9 pound Bass!! However, thick fogs surrounded us and I wasn’t able to film in the beginning but I started filming after the sun came up so please stay tuned for it!
As for me, I continued to fish with some crankbaits for about 2 hours starting 7am including our new LV 500 Spin (vibration) which will be released this year, but got no bites! I decided to change locations assuming the Bass will go into areas with reeds. I used the pitching technique and was able to catch 2 Bass with the Wacky rig. I finally crossed my highest number of Bass caught in a day!
Then Kyle did it again. This time it wasn’t with a hardbait, but with a Texas rig & caught a 7-8 pound Bass!!
I usually only use hard baits for Bass fishing and it was actually my first time learning how to fish with warms. From now on I would like to try my best in properly using both hard and soft baits depending on the condition. And my goal this year is to catch some good size Bass!
The week after next, I will be heading to Vail Lake which is currently in the greatest condition! I heard they are catching over 70 in one day! Please stay tuned!!
