During the past two days while practicing for the FLW Event on Chickamauga, the weather has been awesome! It has been so nice to fish in shorts and a t-shirt. The water level has fallen two feet though, which is making fishing a little tougher than it should be.

My son, Ryan, and I left Cincinnati at 5 AM this morning, headed for Lake Chickamauga in Tennessee for my third FLW Tournament of the season.
After a short six hour drive down I-75, we were settled into our beautiful Red Roof Inn. I worked on tackle for couple of hours and then headed over to the grocery store to get drinks and lunch stuff for the week.

Today, I took my rig to Springboro, Ohio for the Grand Opening of Moe’s Ace Hardware. Moe’s is one of our newest and largest STIHL dealers in Ohio. I had a chance to meet a lot of the customers, sign autographs and just talk fishing!

Today was my day to be a dad and hang with my girls. My 7 year old, Gracelyn, all of a sudden is fired up on turkeys since her big sis whacked the big gobbler the other day in Kentucky. We were out working in the yard when my wife, Diane, said she heard a turkey gobbling in the hollow. Well, that was all Gracie needed to hear.

Last week, I finished 9th place PAA tournament at Lake Lanier, GA. This week, I’m at Lake Pickwick Alabama for BASS Elite series. After 2 days practice I see lake level keep coming up. It is lightning and raining hard right now.
