Again in Germany, Lucky Craft became a focused topic!! This time, Skeet Reese’s interview was printed on one of Germany’s magazine. And the title of his article was “America’s Most Famous Angler”. How great is this. It is an article that shows how Skeet Reese has become a world famous pro angler.

Brent Ehrler Blog – “Family Getaway”

It’s not often the entire family can get together for a getaway, but that’s exactly where I just got back from.  Kelley and I went up to Mt. Shasta City with my brother and his family and my mom.  It’s a place where I spent a lot of time as a kid and I haven’t been back in a while, so it made for a great getaway.

In my last blog I mentioned the FLW Collegiate regionals at Folsom Lake in Northern California. I had a great time meeting and hanging out with the young student anglers and hearing about their experiences in the fishing world. They are the future of our sport and I was thrilled to be on hand for this event representing National Guard and the FLW Tour.

FLW did a great job with the Outdoor Festival that was setup right outside of the Sacramento State football stadium.  In the National Guard booth we had lots of cool games, simulators and information about “the Guards” great program for young adults. It was the Hornets’ (Sac. State) homecoming weekend and the weigh in was timed to be right after the football game, so the crowds were excellent.  The host team of Sac. State took the win and moved on the FLW College Series national championship.

This week I am headed back up to Nor-Cal for the MonsterFishingTackle.com’s Monster Bass Jam.  While at the event I will be representing all my sponsors but, in particular Lucky Craft.  Lucky Craft has a new color out, “Light Hitch.” This is a great color and should be a go to color on any lake coast to coast.  You can check out all the seminars, including mine and fellow Lucky Craft pro-staffers Skeet Reese and Gary Dobyns from the Monster Bass Jam at MonsterFishingTackle.com.  I’ll do what I can to get you a sneek peek at the new “Light Hitch” color as well.

Sharapova

Mr. Omori & the famous tennis player, Maria Sharapova are fellow students of the same athlete training school called IMG located in Florida! The very famous golf player, Tiger Woods and Kei Nishikori from men’s tennis are both also from this very same school. Mr. Omori went to this IMG School to learn health management and mental training. And he is now continuing to grow and aim high as one of the top anglers. Maria Sharapova left a charming message to Mr. Omori: “Tak, you have to catch a big fish for me”, and it is sitting right here… I want you to look at the bottom right part of the image. They had placed an image of Sharapova training and Mr. Omori when he was still a student on the same IMG Academy flyer!! This is huge!!

Kelly Jordon

This time, I would like to talk about my trip to Texas. I had split my stories into 3 parts (so please stay tuned!)

Kelly Jordon is one of nation’s most contested Bass Elite Tour pros. But this time it wasn’t about fishing. We received a call from Kelly stating that he has gotten married! As soon as possible, we rushed to Texas to celebrate this wonderful event.

As usual Kelly is always gentleman-like and has an amazing sense of style with his western boots! And his car used for touring is the TOYOTA that I admire. His newly wife sadly wasn’t able to make it, but we had a great time at a very famous steak restaurant in Texas. We opened 2 bottles of wine and the wonderful time went by very fast. He’s gotten married and by next year he will have an additional member in his family. We have much hope for him as a dad next year!

For more detailed information on Kelly, please take a look at his website.

Breakfast with Mr. Omori

I ate breakfast with Mr. Omori. And actually it was his homemade cooking! Mr. Omori had bought an enormous amount of fresh tuna just for us. It was very kind of him to do that!! Usually for health managing purposes, Mr. Omori doesn’t eat too much side dishes. But for our visit, he had so many side dishes ready just for us. Since the wind felt very nice that day, we decided to eat out side. The tuna sashimi was very delicious!!

Pool

This is the TO Pool everybody’s been talking about. It was made just for swimming lures. It also cost tens of thousands of dollars to make. Our BDS and RC were tested in this pool. The result was how you all imagined.

Gone Fishin’

There were a couple of big stories around here this week.
I picked up my new Stratos Champion Elite Series 210 from our local dealer, and I am happy with the boat. The folks in Flippin, Ark did a great job on it, and I’m looking forward to competing out of it…

2010 Year End World Ranking

Just like tennis or golf, I like track world ranking for bass fishing. I believe as a tour pro, one of most important things is performance on the water. Ranking doesn’t lie, so I have no excuses.

Fall Cranking

Fall is like Christmas for the crankbait fisherman. Tons of bass hit the shallows chasing shad as they feed up before winter. Moreover, a steady stream of cold fronts, with their accompanying clouds, wind, and rain keep bass active in the shallows all day long…
