An advantage of the Poppers and single swishers is that they create ripples that extend over a wide range. Essentially the lure has the most impact on fish the moment it “lands on water.” However, this logic applies differently to Poppers and single swishers. Every time you apply a strong action to the lure through the rod, you can draw the attention of fish with the same impact achieved when the lure lands on water. As for areas, these lures are effective near walls, rock beds and other vertical geographical features. As long as sound is produced, the lure makes it easy to draw the attention of fish even in a location where the upward field of view is obstructed by nearly 50% with the existence of a wall, or even in a location such as rock bed where a slightly complicated wall structure creates an obstruction. When a fish approaches, create small ripples to let it bite the lure. Here, the gentleness of the ripples it creates is the true nature of the Bevy series.
Don’t forget the summer bug pattern, either. The key is to produce desirable effects, such as the effects of a frog or bug diving into water, from the shore. Be it a lake, a dam or a river, the prey that dives from the shore is unguarded and therefore a perfect victim of fish eaters. With the Bevy Prop and Bevy Popper, you can skillfully handle overhang situations, too. Search the area using the Bevy Prop in a simple reeling-in action just like that for a search bait, and use the Bevy Popper to catch the fish eater that has not been able to get the bait. This is an ideal combination. Needless to say, you’ll need to choose these lures without question in areas where there is a wall or other vertical structure and the water depth is 2 m or more. In early autumn you can try dead-sticking, which produces a slightly greater presence than when a pencil is used. Among others, a noisy environment with the loud sound of wind or current is the best. As for the secret technique of making the lure even more appealing, whenever you’re in doubt try reeling the line as if to pull out a thread, instead of moving it restlessly. It's also effective to let the line drift on the wind and current, as you’ll definitely see fish eaters bite the lure.
